Sheep Breeds

Cunnington Farms routinely run several of breeds of sheep and we sell a wide variety of high quality Roving, Yarn and Finished Wool Products, as well as Navajo Rugs. Our major focus is correct breeding stock and their lambs, which is also our major product.  Our breeds of sheep are:

Navajo-Churro, Cotswold, Tunis and CVM are classified endangered livestock by the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy, and we only sell these four breeds as registered or registerable breeding stock. We also breed and crossbreed California Reds, Corriedales, Romney, Shetland and Icelandic, solely as non-registered spinners flock. Our non-crossbred California Reds are registered.

We have successfully bred stunning Romney/Corriedale, Painted Desert/Corriedale, Tunis/Icelandic, Cotswold/California Red, Cotswold/Icelandic/Shetland and Corriedale/Icelandic crosses, and have several of these lambs for sale.  We continously do experimental cross breeding to improve our spinners flock, so other mixes will be able in the future.

We also offer Roving and Yarn from their fleeces, but not all sheep, lambs or products are available at all times.
